"'Faa' is a borrowed word used for emphasis, originating from Hausa. It is often used at the end of expressions by Yoruba speakers with a Hausa background or origin. This phenomenon is particularly common among Yoruba people in Ilorin and Kogi.

A hype man is the guy or girl whom is essentially the MC at a club. They usually have the mic and hype the crowd up.

A guy who carries out 419 fraud on the internet (Those Nigerian prince scams).


I got scammed all my money by a Yahoo boy from Abuja.


Groove

South African slang term for the club, tavern, party, all the nice places.


I miss how groove was before lockdown.

Park the bus

In soccer, to park the bus means to play very defensively, to get a lot of players behind the ball. Imagine a bus parked in front of the goal. It is almost impossible to score.
